Phase 1C: Management Tasks: Planning- As we have already acquired information on what the customer, Pizza Palace, wants from the new system, the planning part of the process should not require much more time. A week more should be sufficient time to prepare and to move on to the next step. Analysis- This step should take an additional two weeks and can begin once the planning process is complete. During this portion, our team will look at and analyze what system Pizza Palace already has in place, and how the current system is working for them. This section will include analyzing both the current system in place and the data involved. Design- Once all of the prior information is acquired, our team can begin to design the new system for Pizza Palace. This portion will take the most amount of time and will require the most attention to detail in order to ensure a successful end result. Our team requires six weeks to design the process for the system; two weeks to design the data for the system; one week to design the screens, and three weeks to design the reports. Design for processes and data can begin immediately after analysis is complete. After processes are designed, we can begin
PIZZA PALACE SDLC 8 designing screens. After designing data and processes is complete, we can finish the design process by designing the reports. The total design process should take nine weeks. Test and Document- We will run the newly designed system for about a month in order to make sure that everything is working smoothly. Any issues with the system will be documented and fixed to achieve our end product. The five-week process will prepare our system for implementation into Pizza Palace. Implementation- Without complications, this process should only take our team for about two weeks. In these two weeks, we will not only bring the new system into Pizza Palace, but we will need to train management and their employees on the use of this new system. Timeline: Leaving one extra week in case of unexpected error, our team can accomplish a new system for Pizza Palace within a 20-week period. Appropriate maintenance to the system is also guaranteed for any issues that may occur after the new system is implemented. Gantt Chart: Pert Chart:
