What type of research design is used in the study? What instruments or measures did the researchers use to collect data?

The study used a correlation research design with questionnaires that were given to both groups. The Positive and Negative Perfectionism Scale was used to measure positive and negative perfectionism (Egan, Piek, & Dyck, 2015). They conducted Structured Clinical Interviews and used the Beck Depression Inventory assessment for analyzing depression for the clinical participants. They also used a The Brief Symptom Inventory which measured the athletes to ensure they were not suffering from psychological distress from the study (Egan, Piek, & Dyck, 2015).Do you think the research in this article was conducted in an ethical manner? Why or why not? In relation to the article, how have ethical considerations in personality psychology research changed over the years?I think the research in this article was conducted in an ethical manner. What concerns me is the only thing I noticed in the study for their ethical procedures were that all of the participants were instructed to complete an information and consent form. But I did notice the research was approvedby the Curtin University Ethics Committee, which shows me that the research study followed to proper procedures for an ethical study. I wish they would have provided more information on other ways they followed the APA Ethics and Code of Conduct;the right to withdraw from the research, ways that the researchers “do no harm” to the participants (especially the clinical group), how the researchers will debrief the participants once the research is over.I think in relation to the article, ethical consideration in personality psychology research has changed over the years for clarification. Their needs to be information on all ethical concerns, for there is no room for misinterpretation.
