Another way to get our name out there is to try to have the best players in the league to sign a sponsorship with use to use our helmets and then hopefully people will start to want schools or colleges in Germany to start buying that type of helmet.

Riddell is already the brand of helmets used in the German American Football League, so we will only be introducing a new product, not a new brand altogether. Our competitors will be some of the smaller German equipment manufacturers and the other big American helmet dealer Shutt Sports. Step 2: Target the Ideal Customer Our ideal customer would be the German American Football League, or some of the bigger German Universities that have football programs. Larger targets will be more successful, then trying to sell them to sporting goods stores. Step 3: Create a Unique Proposition

The success of the helmet will speak for itself. It worked at the University of Iowa, it can be done anywhere. We could also offer other Riddell products at a discounted price with purchase of our helmets. Step 4: Define Marketing Strategy Since we have chosen the German Professional Football League and German Universities as our target customer, now we must decide how we want to get the knowledge of our product out to the target audience. SPT 465: Global Sports Business Plan 9 Product/Service, Support and Strategy Riddell, which is based in the United States, has been and will be the official supplier of helmets and football gear to leagues such as the National Football League. Our years of commitment and excellence has helped propel football to the game it is today. However, with the epidemic of head injuries in contact sports, the game of American football is dying. Riddell is committed to improving the safety of players while they participate in the games that they love. The invention of the Riddell Precision-Fit Helmets is the latest version of Riddell’s commitment to safety. These helmets are made based on the custom fitting of the player that it is going to serve. This is made during pre-fitting events where Riddell personnel take measurements and conduct tests to make it fit the head and neck of each player based on the size and shape. While each Precision-Fit helmet cost is higher than an average football helmet, it has been proven to prevent head injuries. Members of the University of Iowa football team used these helmets for
