Education can be as simple as providing information on how someone accesses their health insurance through the ACA or what the ACA can do for them through free preventative screenings. The nurse can also help in understanding the different health plans available through the ACA. Nurses need to be prepared to understand and know details of the law and provide adequate information to their patients and other members of their communities (Wakefield, 2013). This information and correct knowledge can make the difference of someone, and possibly their family members, have appropriate health coverage providing them a more healthier future. outcomes of care rather than the volume of the service they provide (Luther & Hart, 2014). The ACA health reform promotes health, chronic illness, and the development of secondary conditions which all tie into a nurse’s daily routine of care. Nurses are a large part of this reform because they are the front lines of health care. They also provide patient-centered care as a professional standard and competency (Luther & Hart, 2014).
