Many places this practice have led them down but the people blame their destiny for it rather than taking the blame on themselves. This leads them nowhere but just trying their luck out on practices that are obsolete. I want to change this and make the people understand that their destiny is decided by their deeds and so do the right thing by thinking over it planning it out before doing it rather than just copying the elders or others.

Q-5 A. Define subculture and counterculture and give one example of each? Is it better to marry someone of the same cultural background? Do you agree or disagree justify it? Sociologists and anthropologists usually speak of culture as a characteristic of an entire society. But culture can also exist in smaller, more narrowly defined units. A subculture consists of the values, behaviours, and physical artefacts of a group that distinguish it from the larger culture. Think of it as a culture within a culture. Certain racial and ethnic groups, religions, age groups, even geographic areas can all constitute subcultures. We don’t usually think of people with sensory deficits as constituting a subculture, but many people who are deaf identify themselves as members of a subculture and take pride in its unique values and norms. At my university, the student newspaper publishes a glossary of common words, phrases, acronyms, and nicknames at the beginning of each academic year to aid first-year students in their adjustment to life on campus. Just as you have to learn how to be a member of your society, you have to learn how to be a member of your university subculture. Example: The Sindhi in the rural areas and even in some modern areas of Karachi are to be set as an example of subculture. As this group represents a large number of population of Pakistan therefore is regarded as a subculture of Pakistan. A counter culture in Pakistan can be referred to those women who tends to and wants to pursue their studies further however according to the old culture being followed here in Pakistan this group of women who pursue their studies are counted as a countercultural group in Pakistan. I prefer marrying a person of the same culture as this would help you build better understanding between each other and along with that there will be no need of understanding the difference the in culture or maybe which could have led to fights over differences in the culture. Marrying the person of the same cultural background assures you of the problem being resolved that there will be no differences or very low difference in their thinking and choices that are made. Same cultural background marriage leads to a healthier relation and a forever lasting one. Many argue about marrying a different cultural background person so we can value the differences in order to learn from each other but these difference can be a bigger problem than help. Moreover, one can learn different culture by travelling and meeting new people therefore I don’t prefer risking a life time relation over the fact of a different cultural background.
