For a person who has never served in war, it seems idiotic to try and understand the daily hell that our veterans are living. They helped us with the ability to have everyday freedom in this great land we call The United States of America. While the overall society sits, watches, and waits for government to assist these struggling veterans, what can we do to speak up for our sometimes powerless veterans? Society needs to be proactive, recognize the issues and problems our brother and sisters are struggling with, and make a conscious effort to help any way possible and contact our local, State, and Federal Government and demand for immediate change instead of wait for what they call slow and lengthy bureaucratic progress. Be a Veteran Advocate, because sometimes we are all that they have to fight their fight.
