then decide whether or not this data compares to the known plasmid fragment. Thus it can be more definitively decided what plasmid the unknown is. Fragment ID# Fragment Length (bp) Relative Mobility (cm) Lambda #1 23130 1.18 Lambda #2 9416 1.32 Lambda # 3 6557 1.49 Lambda # 4 4361 2.23 Observed Unknown #1 2.17 Observed Unknown #2 2.43 Description: This table shows the measured lambda length present on the gel along with the measured lengths of the unknown. The distance traveled by each fragment was measured from the top of the well to the top of the band. The size of the unknown plasmid fragments that are included were estimated from figure 1. The independent variable is while the dependent variable is the mobility of the unknown. Table 3: Fragment Length Data of Unknown and Expected Length of Plasmids

In this table the highlighted data is the data which matches most closely with the unknown plasmid. The fragment length data for the unknown was found through using the log graph while the data for the other plasmids was given. Plasmid Length of Fragment (bp) Length of Fragment 2 (bp) Length of Fragment 3 (bp) Length of Fragment 4 (bp) Expected pAMP 784 3755 Expected pKAN 1875 2332 Expected pGLO 226 399 220 30 Observed unknown Figure 1: Figure 1: The reason to include this figure is that it allows for one to determine the fragment length of the unknown plasmid using its relative mobility and the relative mobility and known fragment length of lambda. -Data was obtained by measuring how much for each band of the lambda and the unknown moved from the well. This was done by measuring from the top of the well to the top of the band.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
