Cite and reference the lecture and/or Chapter 9 in the textbook.The problem of evil and suffering happens with one questions the word of God and miss places trust, faith and try to do things our way on our time. God will allow one to suffer to test our resolve and help develop our need to recognize between right / wrong or good / evil. Human nature is to wonder about why if God was such a loving, caring God why does he allow sufferingto good people. Shouldn’t those who have confessed their sins, repent their wrongs and ask Jesusinto their hearts suffer? (Sharpe, 2015) 3.Briefly summarize the Christian worldview’s response to the problem of evil and suffering. Cite and reference the lecture and/or Chapter 9 in the textbook.The Christian worldview’s answer to evil and suffering can be explained with the story of Job. Job suffered like no other man showing that it doesn’t matter what your station in life is anyone can be tested with suffering. Job proved we can ask questions and God will still love you but he didn’t blame God nor did he question his motives. The Christian worldview is to allow an in-depth look at the pastoral questions of how suffering affects real lives and the barriers to the pursuit of wisdom and faith. (Sharpe, 2015) Job came through his suffering and so will humanitytoday, we just need to have faith.
