Research Question(s): “What” of the researchDoes early sex education, at home and/or in school, reduce the number ofpregnancies under the age of 18? The Variables:- The independent variable will be girls under the age of 18.- The dependent variable will be the actual sex education and its effectiveness on unplanned pregnancies.
-The moderating variable can be the kids demographics and the type of family environment they were raised in that may or may not have an effect on unplanned pregnancies. Relationship between variables:- There is a direct relationship between the independent, dependent, and moderating variables. The level and effectiveness of sex education in the schools can directly impact a girls decision to have or not have a child. Also, a child's family background, the moderating variable, can also determine the type of environment that was set for the child growing up and in many cases has a direct effect on unplanned pregnancies.
