Assessments Graded Assessments Ten Online Labs Total = 30% Final Examination 70% Description of Graded Assessments Online Labs (30%) Online labs consist of exercises that have to be answered online. Their purpose is to train as well as to evaluate the students. The program that we will use is Lyryx. Please access your Lyryx account while you are logged into your eConcordia course site. On the same screen where you see the lesson videos, the icon for “LABS” appears on the top right -hand corner of the page. Click on it to access your Lyryx questions. You do NOT need to purchase a separate Lyryx account. If you submit your Lyryx labs with a separately purchased account, your professor will not be able to access your grades. Technical inquiries regarding your labs should be directed to the Lyryx Learning: General Enquiries: [email protected] Technical Support: [email protected] Before You Begin: You should run a browser test by clicking here: . This would ensure that your computer has the necessary programs to submit online labs. Clock: Your labs are due at 11:59pm, Sundays. The time is based on Lyryx’s clock, n ot your clock. The best way to avoid frustration is to do the labs ahead of time, not one hour prior to the deadline. Format of the labs: Each lab consists of some multiple-choice, graphical, numerical as well as conceptual questions. You receive immediate evaluation and feedback after your submission. Every time you load a lab, the questions differ and hence no two students will be answering the same question. The labs are open at all times and you have a maximum of 3 attempts . The grade on your BEST attempt will be recorded by the Sunday midnight deadline. The due dates and times are listed in the Agenda at the end of this document and in the Agenda section of the course website. After the submission deadline, you can still work on the labs but no grades will be recorded from those attempts. Lab 11 contains review questions. Your lowest lab score will be dropped, so that only the best 10 lab scores will count for the 30% of your grade.
