NEVER TAMPER THE VALVE, NOR REMOVE THE LEAD SEAL FOR ANY REASON. Do not lubricate for any reason. In case of detective working call NGI immediately. ATTENTION: IN CORROSIVE ENVIRONEMENT OLY STAINLESS STEEL VALVES MUST BE MOUNTED. The connection must follow the security specifications of the relative installation. We suggest to install the valve forecasting a controlled discharge. In case that the valve discharges freely, direct it in order to avoid damages to persons or materials. By request it is possible to supply the valve with a warning device for the control panel. 5. TRANSPORT The valves can be transported freely or in boxes. However, the small valves can be carried by hand, the tall ones using a fork truck or a crane. ATTENTION: VIBRATION, IMPACTS, IMPURITIES, CAN DAMAGE THE OPRATION OF THE VALVE THEREFORE THE VALVES MUST BE HANDLED CAREFULLY AND WITHOUT REMOVING THE THREAD PROTECTIONS, WHICH PREVENT THE IMPURITY FROM GOING INSIDE, NOR REMOVING THE LEVER CLAMPING WEDGE BEFORE INSTALLATION. 6. INSTALLATION The valves are supplied by the NGI with the demanded calibration and sealed. ATTENTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE LEAD SEAL WILL NEVER BE DAMAGED. THE BREAKING OF THE WARRANTY SEALS VOIDS THE WARRANTY. The spring safety valves that have a pressure calibrated at less than 1 bar must be fitted with the cap vertically facing up. For pressure levels calibrated at more than 1 bar, the assembly position has no influence on correct functioning. HAVING CARE not do damage the surface, remove the protections and mount the valve following the specifications of the installation. If the discharge should be connected to an outside pipe, this pipe must be as short as possible, to avoid not previewed back pressure. The maximum back-pressure envisaged is 10% of the calibration pressure. Pipe discharge safety valves, connect the discharge hole to a piping to drive it in a not dangerous zone. 7. CLEANING AND LUBRICATION The NGI safety valves have been constructed to work without any lubrication at all; you only have to keep them cleaned and in working order. 8. ORDINARY MAINTENANCE The valve is a very delicate mechanism. It is the installation conductor’s duty to control its efficiency and in case of necessity call the technician or send the valve to NGI. ATTENTION: THE NGI DOES NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY INTERVENTION OR TAMPERING NOT AUTHORISED BY THE NGI ITSELF. THE NGI IS NOT ANY MORE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE VALVE ITSELF AFTER REPAIRINGS, CALIBRATIONS, PARTS REMPLACEMENTS OR ANY OTHER INTERVENTION MADE OUT PF HIS DIRECT CONTROL. 9. The safety valves with Elastomer seals must be periodically checked. To be sure that the safety valves are always in good conditions, they must be periodically tested. For reason they must be manually opened making them released by opening lever or metal ring. This test must be made keeping the plant protected to a pressure kept between the 80% and 90% the setting of the valve. Valve must decidedly open with big outlet of fluid, and it must clearly close when the lever is left or the metal ring is screwed
