Several scientists have determined that the
earth is approximately 4.54 billion years old
(Randy, 2008).

Can it be reconciled with the
message of the Bible?

There are many Christians, like Charles Darwin, that
have accepted Christianity as well as evolution into
their belief system. This varies upon person to person,
but some only believe in microevolution and vice
versa.

I do no think that just because you accept one, that
that does not mean that you have to reject the other.

There are also some people that believe that God was
the catalyst to evolution, causing it.

Christian Worldview

Christians can believe in a variety of ideas, but their
faith lies with God.

They believe:

God created the world

Jesus Christ died on the cross for their sins

They can believe in evolution, but most do not

The consequences of their actions are Heaven or Hell

My Beliefs

My faith is also somewhat varying, but I consider
myself Agnostic.

I believe:

Earth was created from matter almost 5 billion years
ago

Humans evolved from primates

Everybody has the right to choose their own religious
belief system

I do not reject the idea of a God, but I also do not
believe in one

How everything impacts my
worldview

I have come to understand the Christian worldview
much better, but my personal worldview has not really
changed.

I had never thought about where exactly morality cam
from, but it is interesting to think about my moral
compass coming from Christianity.
