Group homework: Nearly every Monday (eight in total), a group homework assignment will be due. For these assignments, you may work in groups of no more than four students, and you may also complete the group assignments individually. You may also vary your group for each assignment. However, for a given assignment, a group should only hand in one set of answers. Group cases:There will be two traditional case studies. For these case studies, you may work in groups of no more than four students, and you may also complete the group assignments individually. You may also vary your group for each assignment. However, for a given assignment, a group should only hand in one set of answers. Individual homework:There will be five “mini-cases” that are to be completed by each student, individually. Solutions to the group and individual homework assignments will be posted to the web page after class on the day the homework is due. Case discussions will take place during class, but no “solutions” will be provided. Midterm Exam The midterm exam will be given in class on Monday, February 8, 2010. No rescheduling of midterms exams is allowed. The midterm is open book and open note. You may also use a laptop computer for the midterm, but only to access materials found on the course webpage or to conduct calculations in Excel. The exam will last 90 minutes. Students in the evening section should prepare to stay the entire three hour period, as I will also be lecturing that evening. Final Exam There will be a mandatory final exam. The date, time, and location will be announced later in the quarter. For those of you taking GIM trips or with other conflicts with the date and time, I will be participating in the early final exam option. No other exam times will be allowed.The final exam is cumulative. The final is open book and open note. You may also use a laptop computer for the final, but only to access materials found on the course webpage or to conduct calculations in Excel.
