Geeta and Babita are the daughters of Mahavir who were trained to become wrestler by his father. There are lots of secondary characters in the movie like mother, cousin, and Geeta’s coach at National Level Wrestling. They all played an important role in the film. The dialogues of the film spoken by the characters are very attentive. For example, when Mahavir says, “Medals don't grow on trees... you have to nurture them...with love, with hard work, with dedication.” Mahavir nurtured the dream of winning gold medal not for gaining popularity or to fulfill his personal motives, but to bring honors for his country. I feel so motivated when I hear this dialogue. I learned that achieving my goals will not happen in a day or even in a year, but I will have to constantly work for it staying determined. You can achieve anything in life if you dedicate yourself working hard for that goal. We might not be able to achieve our goal in our first attempt, but striving towards goals with hard work with perfection will take us a step closer to our dream. One should not aim to be a winner, but one should aim to set an example for others and should constantly keep trying until they achieve their goal. The theme of the film is that no matter how successful we become in life, we should always be connected with our roots and should always be thankful to the humble beginning of our journey. Dangal film tells us having a person who supports you through your struggling time until your victory is a blessing. I will always remember this moral theme of the story because there are so many people that helped me during my hardship and they helped me to stand where I am today studying nursing at UTA. After getting my bachelor degree, I will go back to those people thanking for their constant supports on my journey and will help them if I have to.
