Rights law helped with this problem. A law was passed that no person, no matter the severity of the disability, should be excluded from participation. The modern civil rights law also allows for people with disabilities to be employed. There are still thousands of complaints about discrimination against people with disabilities, but this is a problem, that will hopefully get better. (History) Gays and Lesbians have been a very hot topic for a long time. With the modern civil rights laws, they have a ‘full right to engage in their conduct without intervention of the government.’ Now, many states recognize gays and lesbians for protection against discrimination. Companies and organizations still have the ‘first amendment right of expressive association.’ This does allow company’s, businesses, and organizations to exclude homosexuals, even if the state law says otherwise. This is, and probably always will be, a hot topic in our nation. There will probably
