Synthesis of Triacylglycerols • Triacylglycerols are synthesized in the endoplasmic reticulum or peroxisomes. The backbone is provided by dihydroxyacetone phosphate or glycerol 3-phosphate. The hydrocarbon chains are provided by fatty acyl CoA. CH 2 OH C=O CH 2 O-PO 3 2- CH 2 OH HO-C-H CH 2 O-PO 3 2- dihydroxyacetone phosphate glycerol 3-phosphate

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
