Al so , yo u ma y show me your papers in perso n, BEFORE the due date, in order to have the opportunity to make any necessary revisions toward maximum credit. The best way to do this is just before or after class. I will NOT review them online, so please do NOT ask. This project paper and presentation is worth ½ of the total points for the 5 exams and is an important and integral part of this course. It shows me if you have, indeed, learned to think critically and sociologically; therefore, it is crucial that students complete and turn in the project as specified, and prior to the drop date! Ten points per day are deducted from the earned score for late papers, and after a few days, it is not worth anything. It has been my experience that students who do not turn the paper in do not successfully complete the course, and those who have exceeded the absences allowed per the TCC policy AND who have not turned in a paper prior to the drop date are likely to be dropped by me. Fortunately, the majority of students successfully fulfill this requirement, as well as all the other expectations! The earlier you get this job done and a “this is a perfect paper” response from me, the more relaxed you can be CHECKLIST for The Community Culture Project Have YOU: 1) Completed the required waiver? If so, then you have a green checkmark under the waiver column in blackboard when you pull up your grades. 2) Have you submitted a project proposal and has your professor approved it? 3) Contacted your professor for approval on any project idea changes? 4) Have you completed your project experience this semester? 5) Have you taken notes on what you observed during your project? 6) Have you reviewed the student sample project papers in blackboard?
