system, it could lead to confidentiality issues. However, there are many features that Google
Docs has that the other IT options lack. Most importantly, the price of Google Docs for a small
business cannot be compared to the other options. This option will keep his virtual business
alive, while running more smoothly, and keeping his costs low for his customer base.

Our team handled the first team assignment without conflict or stress.
The first line of
communication used was text messaging.
A group text was sent out to ensure we all had the
information needed for the assignment.
The assignment was reviewed, divided into parts and
each team member could select a part of the assignment they were comfortable in handling.
Since there were only three questions to be answered and four team members, questions one and
two were handled by individual team members, question three, where different options were
proposed to 1-888-JUNK-VAN, was divided between two team members.
A Google Doc was used to create a document which allowed the team to attach their section of
the assignment for review and editing. Google Doc made it easy for everyone to review each
other’s section and if any edits were needed, they could be made in real-time without the added
steps of re-saving and sending out a new version via e-mail.
The team also found using a Google
Doc would be easier to create a cohesive assignment rather than disjointed answers thrown
together in one analysis.
Our goal was to work as a team in analyzing and comparing ideas
instead of completely splitting the assignment and Google Doc allowed us to work closely
together.
As a team, we created a schedule to work on the paper. On Monday, we put all the information
into the Google Doc and divided up the work.
We worked on our parts Monday and Tuesday,
came together on Wednesday to review and edit any additional information from the previous
days to ensure the paper would be ready for submission Thursday night.
We used our text
message group chat to inform team members when we would be working on the paper and when
the parts were completed; this method kept everyone update on the progress.
The collaboration on this assignment ran smoothly, considering it was our first group project. We
feel team improvements will occur as we become more involved with future assignments and
possible conflicts arise.
The results from the conflict resolution assessment helped us work
together with more confidence because we each possessed similar conflict and communication
styles.
Only one aspect needed clarification – the selection of a team member to submit the assignment
and add it to the class discussion. This oversight did not cause any major conflict within the
group, as everyone was more than happy to take on the task.
Going forward, the team with
ensure the responsibility is assigned before each project.
As we move forward to complete future assignments, the team will communicate work schedules
and availability to discuss and review group assignments along with delegating individual
participation.
Overall, we worked very well as a team. We put a plan in place at the beginning of the week,
each member pulled their weight and we communicated very well.
