Your post is awesome! I like your detailed summary of Coca-Cola sustainability report. You are fully understanding and summarizing these chapters (Chapter 10: Business Ethics, Social Responsibility, and Environmental Sustainability). After reading your post, I better understand that Coca Cola has a much stronger sustainability report reading through the information. Pepsi Co says that they are meeting their own high standards for wastewater, when Coca Cola has given water back to local communities rather than compare their success to their own standards. This plays a part in both business ethics as well as social responsibility. Both companies are striving to reduce waste and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but similar to the comparison above, Pepsi compares their metrics to their own goals as opposed to Coca Cola whosimply states metrics. Both companies receive an A on their environmental suitability. Through their efforts, less plastics and more water are making it back into local communities. Both companies also receive an A in their business ethics, as they both strive for all areas of the business to meet company policies and standards. Finally, Coca Cola receives an A and Pepsi Co receives a B on suitability efforts.Thanks. Have a blessed week!Wei Yang
BUOL 638 9Good evening Susan,Nice Post! It is a detailed summary of Coca-Cola and PepsiCo sustainability reports. You are fully understanding and summarizing ths chapter (Chapter 10: Business Ethics, Social Responsibility, and Environmental Sustainability). After reading your post, I better understand that Cola has made a significant Commitment for 2020, which includes a carbon footprint reduction, minimizing water use, recovering 100% of packaging, increasing recycling, phase out hydrofluorocarbons, and using more local resources. Pepsi Co has committed to cut water use and electricity use. They have both also committed to removing Hydrofluorocarbons as well. Pepsi co has also committed to recycling and reducing waste. Both companies are very similar intheir sustainability. They both see the importance of using climate control through recycling, less waste. They both understand the issue in water reduction, they both are concerned with giving back to the communities. I have slightly different opinion Coca-Cola should receive a grade of A on their business ethics, social responsibility, and sustainability efforts. Grade each company on the three dimensions, and give each an overall grade. Justify your grades.Coca-Cola cares about people’s health reduce sugar usage which is benefit on people and the environment. Also they support communities all over the world. PepsiCo is doing the same thing as Coca-Cola. In summary, both companies should be graded A for what they did for our world.Thanks. Have a blessed week!Wei Yang
