Perhaps for my personal experience in using both e-commerce platforms, Shopee will always request Transaction Authorization Code (TAC) to authorize every transaction w henever we make a payment by using credit card whereas Lazada will not request if the credit card information has already save in Lazada system previously.

[ SHOPEE – SEA GROUP ] Hence, It shows Shopee has prepared more security precautions in every transaction for their customers in order to result a safe and secure platform for online shopping if compared to Lazada. When it comes to the cancellation process, Shopee system usually will automatically refund the full amount of order to customers if they find some problems with the seller delivery. However, Lazada will refund in full and give discount voucher for the next purchase only if the order is late for delivery. In short, these 2 methods are used to prevent losing of exiting and regular customers in each e-commerce business. From my own perspective of view, Shopee is more human platform unlike Lazada which is more towards robot controlled system. Loyalty program play an important aspect in e-commerce business as it helps in optimizing conversion for the website. Shopee always encourages customers to give rating of their purchased items in order to earn extra Shopee coins that customers can get further discount for the next purchase. Unfortunately, Lazada does not have such program but it leverages on bank card so that customers can get extra discount from different bank servies they choose for their payment. [ SHOPEE – SEA GROUP ] Conclusion In the Southeast Asian e-commerce market, Shopee has become a mainstream e-commerce platform in the Southeast Asian e-commerce market due to its rapid growth and development. Shopee have been in the right place to capture these growth opportunities. But Shopee have also been highly strategic in the areas they have chosen to focus on, highly disciplined in how they built and scaled their businesses, and highly skilled in managing their growth. (Lee Donhao, 2007). From the perspective of the Shopee team, many Chinese sellers and brands have been recruited in China. With the huge demographic dividend and the advantages of increasing mobile network coverage, Southeast Asia has become a new choice for more and more China cross-border sellers to go overseas. Hence, Shopee need to find a relative market and better services to make them go further. One is that there are many e-commerce practitioners in China who want to join Shopee's overseas operations and go further with Shopee to explore a larger market. Looking ahead, Shopee should continue to focus on growing their e-commerce business with efficiency, extending market leadership to maximize long-term returns, and deepening monetization over time. From my point of view, Shopee is having huge growth opportunities ahead in their business lines. Shopee should leverage their
