Thirdly, students with a disability are also part of the United States of America fraternity; they are faced with many challenges in their normal lives. The major challenge that students face is in the learning institutions, according to Ovando (2003) under new model core teaching standards, teachers should be able to provide multiple approaches to these kinds of students in order to find the most suitable method, where these students are able to fully comprehend what is being taught. In addition, teachers are required to clearly define; what these students learn, how they learn and how they can demonstrate what they have learned. This will be contributing factor among students with a disability to mingle and interact with their peers and accomplish what they have in pursuit to accomplish what they have learned. Finally, there students who perform better above their normal grade, Ovando (2003), suggest that these type of students should be enrolled to the next grade level until they are at par with their level of education. This can only be spearheaded with teachers who have knowledge, skilled and have techniques that will ensure these kinds of student are moved to the next grade level. In the current state of education the attrition rate of teachers is on the rise, this particular topic of teachers and standards triggered the attrition rate. Running Head: Attrition Rate 7 to enable students to fully comprehend what they are taught and can apply the knowledge acquired in their future lives. High-stakes assessments In the current education system, high-stakes assessment test has brought both positive and negative impacts to teachers and students respectively. This has been evident on different research platform stating that high-stake assessment test contributes to the attrition rate increasing. This is particularly experienced in middle school and high school where both teachers and students have been pressured to deliver on different aspects. For instance, Amrein & Berliner (2003) explored the benefits and disadvantages of high assessment tests. They were able to establish that previously this test was meant for immigrants who wanted to venture into America for greener pastures, individual who wanted to join the armed forces and defend their country, students who needed special education and students who wanted to benefit from scholarship that they needed to advance to colleges. This was the method applied that enabled the United States to be in a better position in terms of education and security but that is a far as it can go.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
