from day to night. After much discussion, students will view a video on how day and night occurs on the interactive white board. They will then answer questions based on what was seen in the video. Using the interactive board students will be complete questions and/quiz on the video, testing their understanding of how changes of day and night occur. Lesson Three – Changes in Matter – solid to liquid . Students will each be given a camera and an ice cube in a cup. Each child will take a picture of the ice-cube as they receive it. They will let the ice stand and observe taking pictures of the ice at different points until the ice is dissolved completely. Students will load their pictures onto a computer and discuss their pictures and giving explanations of what happened with the ice- cubes. Using the pictures taken students will be able to identify the ice as a solid and as a liquid after it melted. With the pictures students will be able to explain the changes which took place with the ice as it changed from a solid to a liquid.

Part C Manuel and Damien Latoya Tommy, Chuck, Mohammad Emotions the children are experiencin g When Manual took the shovel away from Damian, Damian may have felt upset, sad, and angry at Manual for taking away his toy. Before Manuel took the shovel from Damien he may have felt impatient waiting for his turn. He may have also felt frustrated that he did not have a shovel and was not able to use it when he wanted. Latoya may not be sure how to join in with the other children. She may also be scared or unsure about climbing the rock on her own. She could also feel afraid of trying because she may be afraid of heights. Tommy is frustrated that he has to make the choice and doesn’t want to hurt his friend’s feelings. Strategies for children to become aware of feelings of their own and others Acknowledge, accept and validate all Damien’s feelings and perceptions of the conflict. I could also discuss why Manual wanted the shovel and why he took it. We could also discuss why Damian wasn’t sharing the shovel.
