used in sentence it might be easy to draw meaning of the word but otherwise its unfamiliar so, I’ll explain how the word is originated from and in which instances it is used so the students can understand what it means and how it is used. the other vocabulary includes harbor as this word has various meanings, I’ll explain this in regard to the context of text which is a place where boats and ships dock and show a picture of a harbor, The picture helps the students in remembering and retaining the meaning of the word when they came across it during other reading or literacy activities. Cultural Background: To build knowledge on the Caribbean culture I’ll show kids the location of it on the map and read a brief story about the place and show an Introductory video clip of daily routine of the Caribbean people, the lifestyle of people depicts the culture of the place and the people perfectly. This will be insightful and fun for the students. VI. The specific Literacy Strategy I’d use tot each this text is comparison Matrix after reading the text. I’ll read the text to the class after finished reading the book I’ll ask the class to read the text along with me just to familiarize them and connect them with the text. After finishing the reading activity I’ll draw a matrix on the board which Includes different parameters on the left such as character, theme, setting, perspective. On the right, I’ll make columns that are significant instances in the text. For each instance I’ll write down the characters
