understanding a concept. A project also encourages a child to be creative and use outside resources to show what they know on the subject. This method causes less stress and still show a student’s progress. Tests are still important but they do not have to be the only way to assess a child’s learning. My philosophy of classroom managementI believe a teacher’s class should be well prepared for his/her students and organizational so he/she can be effective with his/her students time. If a teacher is unprepared and unorganized, he/she will waste time that his/her students could be using to learn. A student’s time at school is very important and should be respected. Teachers should be expected to be effective in their classrooms. My philosophy of learning environmentI believe that the learning environment should be a place where students feel safe. A students should be willing and confident to ask or answer questions in the classroom. If a studentfeels unsafe or uncomfortable in the learning environment, he/she might not get the full benefits 3
of the education provided. Teachers are there to further the education of their student therefore the students’ needs should be met. A safe environment for them to learn in is one of those needs.
