Monitor Communicatons - Is monitoring and controlling communicatons throughout the project life cycle to make certain that the informaton needs of all the project stakeholders are met - The project manager and core team ofen discuss whether the project communicatons are following the plan, how efectve they are and how to improve their efectveness Manage and Control Quality - Manage quality is the process of using and improving the quality plan and policy to perform tasks that will most likely lead to creatng project outputs to customers satsfacton - Control quality is the actvites used to verify that deliverables are of acceptable quality and that they are complete and correct Quality management and control tools - Flow chart - A tool that project managers use as they begin to control quality - Can be used to show any level of detail from the overall fow of an entre project down to very specifc details of a critcal process - Check sheet - Are customised for each applicaton - Decide exactly what data will be useful in understanding, controlling and improving a process and create a form to collect that informaton - Pareto chart - The gathered data from a check sheet can be displayed on an analysis tool such as a pareto chart - The purpose is to quickly understand the primary sources of the problem using the 80/20 rule wherein 80%of defects ofen come from only about 20% of all the sources - Cause and efect diagram - Shows how the largest bar of the pareto diagram ofen becomes the head of the fsh - Histogram - Once the additonal data is gathered they can be analysed using a histogram - Run chart - Used to determine trends in how the process is changing over tme - Control chart Control Scope - Is the act of closely monitoring the project and product scope status and only allowing necessary changes to the scope baseline - A scope change is any change to the project work actvites or deliverable - When the scope changes the project cost and schedule also need to change - A variance analysis is the process of determining both the cause and the amount of diference between planned and actual performance Control Resources - A process by which all of the physical resources needed to perform the project are planned and monitored and changes are made if needed Downloaded by Shaun Mlangeni ([email protected]) lOMoARcPSD|3347332
