: I was given little information on what brings you here from the counselor at your campus and would like to hear from you what has been going on, if that is okay.Client: Well, my family says I need to change things in my life and my drinking is too much, according to them.Counselor: Well how do you feel about your drinking?Client: I think I am alright, I guess. I know I’m not an alcoholic or anything like that though.Counselor: Okay. So, I am hearing that your family is the primary reason for you coming in today. They are concerned about your drinking.Client: Yeah, but I am a grown woman. I do not need my family telling me how to live my life.Counselor: That is understandable. And you are right. You are not a child and you do not want tobe treated like one. Client: Right. It is not like I drink and drive or get violent when I drink. I think I got a good handle on what I do.Counselor: So, it sounds like you are aware of what it means to be a responsible drinker?
