the hip-hop and rap music industry from being degraded and shown in media forms in explicit natures and for the use of male sexual desires. That is our plan of action. The reaction to this plan that we want to see happen is that a change is successfully made and music will go back to what the original creators of this genre of music intended it to be used for.

To do this we must create a new learning environment. This learning environment is established through a process known to people in the psychological field as classical conditioning. This process was introduced by a Russian psychologist named Ivan Pavlov. “Classical conditioning is a type of learning in which a stimulus acquires the capacity to evoke a response that was originally evoked by another stimulus (Wayne 1).” This means that if we want the music industry to change we must make it associated with the positive outcome we want to happen. For example Pavlov created a contraption using a dog as his test subject. In his experiment a dog would salivate every time food was presented. After he established the dog salivating for a while he introduced a stimulus. In this case it was a bell. Every time the food would come out the bell would ring. So the dog became associated with the noise of the bell to food coming for him so he would salivate. Pavlov eliminated the first variable, the food. Now when he presented the noise of the bell to the dog what happened? To no surprise the dog would salivate. The dog was trained to equate the sound of the bell with the presence of food so he would salivate. We could apply this same principle to what we want to happen in the music industry. We can condition the rap and hip-hop industry using this method. Corporate America knows that in our society they can control it based on what the show in the media. They feel sex sells and that this is a form of entertainment. Using the classical conditioning model we can manipulate variables as Pavlov did and come out with the favorable outcome needed to change the rap and hip-hop industry. If we as citizens in the U.S. stop buying copies of the artist records and viewing these inappropriate media forms we are in control. Corporate America will begin to lose money and wonder why this is so. They will now try to start to find a solution to this problem. The will use other advertisement methods create new forms of music and sell new music. Now this is the most important part. Now that they are scrambling around to find a solution we can chose what we want to see. Once they sell artist music and show women being uplifted than when we will begin to buy the artist music again. We will condition the industry according to the socially just way it should be. From now on the industry will show women in higher positions and respected. Corporate America will be happy as well as the viewers who like seeing women in positive light. This will ensure that women can progress and be viewed appropriately.
