Based on the above information provided, undertake the following task.
Task:
Assume that in a role of a Project Officer working with Blue Mountains Tourism, you have been asked to
develop a research proposal to address the following problem;
“Visitors from some countries in Asia (particularly China, India and Singapore) have a lower tendency to
travel to regional areas, and spend fewer dollars in regional areas on average, than visitors from other
countries (particularly Sweden, Spain, and UK) preferring instead to visit capital cities or destinations
primarily on the east coast of Australia”

Assume that the state government has proposed in a new city precinct comprising of social, cultural,
entertainment and sporting venues close to the city centre. Accordingly, you have been asked to present a
research proposal based on the research problem stated above.

For the purpose of this task, your trainer/assessor will play the role of your project manager. Ensure that you

The proposal should be word‐processed on A4 sheets, double‐sided with 1.5 spacing. There is no minimum
words/length, however, it is expected that it will be contained in no more than four (4) pages.
