Inventions and technology are good, they help better society, and help us accomplish things that would have been very difficult to do before. However, every time society advances, moves forward, some group is always left behind. This can be seen in the agricultural business as well, as farming is more mechanized than ever. Ethical issues such as GMO’s or no GMO’s are still being fought over today, and will likely never find a real answer. Internarial Food Policy Research Institute has some big goals for themselves. They want everyone to have access to sufficient food, they want malnutrition to be absent, they want food to come from environmentally friendly ways while still being cheap, and food production to be sustainable. These are really great sounding on paper, but will be very difficult to implement.
