For this particular practice I believe that I could use a multitude of stress reduction practices with the mothers, for this I will choose expressing positive emotions and Coping with Stress - Cognitive Behavioral Stress Reduction. With being pregnant comes many emotions and feelings while dealing with normal regular daily life, with the stress of a woman’s body changing during pregnancy it is important to remember those positive thoughts when having stressful situations. By expressing good positive emotions and reminding themselves of the good things that come out of pregnancy could reduce a mothers stress level. Many times a mother is dealt with the ups and downs of regular mood swings while pregnant and by leaving notes around the house for herself saying “you’re doing a great job, keep it up” or "smile you are beautiful”. With the coping with stress we could use that to help a woman physically and mentally cope with stressful situations such as mind body and soul. Meditation while pregnant is a great way to help reduce stress and bring peace to the mother, there is pregnant yoga to help mothers both relax and do a little exercise while facing the stressors of life on top of the developing of a child. There are so many ways to help reduce stress in a pregnant woman, and even increase the chances of having a healthy pregnancy all while keeping both mom and child safe. 24.Clarify the impact of venting or repressing anger on stress. Explain the role of the amygdala and prefrontal cortex in reacting to stress and anger.
