learn about Kelly’s story behind the store and his range of self-made guitars. This situations often end up with awkward moments, which makes me assume that it was arranged to be filmed instead of naturally making a conversation. From what I saw in the film, it definitely is directed towards a certain audience. This slow paced documentary explains thoroughly Kelly’s passion for building guitars revolving in his own workshop. The reason I found the film engaging and entertaining probably is because I myself play guitar. I think that this was a huge factor since I could relate with Kelly’s passion and know exactly how it is to enjoy a good guitar being played. The appreciation for the film is something

Juliao 3 that I believe is targeted mostly for musicians rather than a person who doesn’t usually play any instrument or is interested in music particularly. When watching the film, you really get the sense that you are entering the shop and time begins to slow down, while appreciating what surrounds the inside of the store. One of my favorite scenes in the film was when Kirk Douglas made his appearance. He was one of the few guitarists that I recognized immediately and caught my fast to keep me engaged and interested in the film. I feel like people who don’t know much about guitars or share an interest in them would not enjoy the film as much as I did, but I also think that it was intended to be that way. Simple conversations about the type of wood used to make a guitar, changing the strings to an old instrument, or carving the wood in order to shape a guitar or some of the elements that I could enjoy (other than listening to the guitars being played). On another note, I found it annoying that it seemed like the scenes were scripted. I felt like this was
