DepartmentsIt is important for all these departments to follow written procedures for the success of the reimbursement system. A claims submission audit and standards procedures review are auditsthat can be used to determine whether the reimbursement impact is reached fully by the departments. During a standards and procedures audit, written guidelines and procedures are reviewed for effectiveness and to determine if any of them are outdated. A claims submission reviews bills and medical records to determine if coding is being performed accurately. The impact of these departments should be measured using surveys like the Hospital Consumer Assessment Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS). This survey allows the patient to giver their perspective of the quality of care they received to the medical facility (Harrington, 2019). HCAHPS also prevents providers from providing services to patients in return for goods
