7)The main test is considered successfully completed, it the first pressure does notdrop more than 0.2 bars (d) from the beginning of the main test and if o leakages isdetected. If the pressure drop is more than 0.2 bars during the min test, then the whole testmust be repeated. There must not be any leakage in the system. The results of the pressure test shall be recorded on a log sheet (see Appendix K/2-2). The test shall be accepted as satisfactory if there are no signs of leakage andpressure drops within the acceptable tolerances in the system. The contactor shallmake good all leakages, replace any defective parts and retest the whole system allat his own expense to the approval of the state water authority.b)For Metal Pipes (stainless steel pipes, copper pipes etc), thepipework shall be filled with water and system shall be chargedto a hydrostatic pressure of 15 bar and maintained for a periodof not less than 30 minutes. The results of the pressure testshall be recorded on a log sheet (see Appendix K/2-2). The testshall be accepted as satisfactory if there are no signs ofleakage and pressure drop in the system. The Contractor shallmake good all leakages, replace any defective parts and retestthe whole system to the approval of the state water authority allat his own expense.1.7.4 The Contractor shall obtain a written certification from the relevant statewater authority to prove that the examination and test have been satisfactorityconcluded. Where the installation is proven to be unsatisfactory, theContractor shall rectify the works in accordance with written notice of the statewater authority all at his own expense. The repair or replacement of a faultypipe or fitting shall be reported by the Contractor to the relevant state waterauthority within one week.1.8 Meter Chamber23

Where meter chambers are required, these shall be to the details shown in theDrawings. Itshall be moulded as one solid piece with it’s top sloping gently towards thewash hand basin and having a slight upturn or kerb as it’s outer edges. It shallbe manufactured from non-porous composite product composed of polyesterresin and calcium carbonate marble dust with the permanence of stone andan aesthetic appeal of natural marble or granite.
