Teachers can promote the literacy of young children by taking a number of steps, such as: plan regular time during the day to read to children, have a lot of books to read, have a quiet place to read in the classroom, enable kids to browse at books and learn on their own. allow children to do their own literacy and language activities, encourage children to draw, color and write, enjoy reading children's books, let the kids support select books to read, talk about the photos in the book, try to make the story a reality for the children by relating it to their lives, ask your children questions regarding the plot, and extend reading through follow-up literacy and language activities. As a facilitator, a teacher encourages and provides opportunities for conversation on many subjects, especially those chosen by children. The teacher is still ready to speak, and listen intently to grasp the child better. As a facilitator, we need to find a regular period for everyday discussions. We may do this at community time or with children on an individual basis. As we
