us. This is because we believe for some strange reason that they are smarter than us. Look at global warming for a second. No one smart believes that it is not happening. You can't deny the numbers or statistics. After all math is math but, the disagreement comes with what the humans are doing to cause it. Now we all know that Al Gore produced a movie and wrote a book on global warming... more or less what the humans are doing to cause it. People believe that because a movie was made about it must be true. No one seems to know or care that the leading climatologist from NASA (one of the most highly respected organizations in the world) says that we aren’t contributing to global warming as much as Al Gore says we are. James Francis Poli Sci 103 signed a petition but were not allowed to testify because their viewpoint was different. So even if global warming is due to the anthropogenic reasons that Al Gore speculates, what exactly have YOU done to counteract it? My guess is nothing. Read this passage from Robert J. Samuelson written in 1997 (before the new hype) "Global warming may or may not be the great environmental crisis of the next century, but -- regardless of whether it is or isn't -- we won't do much about it. We will (I am sure) argue ferociously over it and may even, as a nation, make some fairly solemn-sounding commitments to avoid it. But the more dramatic and meaningful these commitments seem, the less likely they are to be observed. Little will be done. . . . Global warming promises to become a gushing source of national hypocrisy.''

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
