Multiculturalism in Canada: social importance of immigration, a safe place for many different ethnic groups to call “home” - There are still a lot of prejudice (Just like the indigenous people experience) - Stereotypes 7. A transnational identity: still having close connections to country where immigrated from, yet participating and embracing new country as well. - Filipino youth and the (UKPC + FCYA) they are connected to other Filipino youth (connecting them to their home country) pg.48 quote - There can be dual citizenship - The implication transnational identities form Canadians means... 8. I think it means we need to see the bigger picture- like we are all connected! Not just members of “canada” but of the globe!
