Do you believe in absolute truth? Is there more than one way/religion to understanding absolute truth about God and the meaning of life?I do believe in absolute truth. I believe that if you are a Christian and you believe the word of God then you must believe in absolute truth. Absolute truth speaks to Gods character, Heis righteous, holy and perfect in every way. Gods nature and promise are unchangeable, He cannot lie otherwise it would contradict His character. Hebrews 6:17-18 “Because God wanted tomake the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatlyencouraged” (NIV).Do you believe that humans have free will in their decisions, or are they entirely a product of their personal environment, circumstances, upbringing, etc.I believe that we all have free will to make decisions and I believe that our environment, circumstances and upbringing among other things have a large impact on those decisions. However, I believe that as a Christian, through prayed and Gods word I am able to make better decisions based on my faith rather than based on my circumstances or other earthly influences. Additionally, I believe that even though we have free will, Gods predestined plan for our life willstill come to fruition.
PERSONAL WORLDVIEW AND BUSINESS ETHICS 4Are things such as true love, beauty, and justice really possible, or are those values totally determined by cultural beliefs and norms?I believe these things are possible. God showed the truest love as well as justice for His creation when He sacrificed His son for us. The saying beauty is in the eye of the beholder is also true, I believe that to see the beauty in the world and in others we have to look at the world through Jesus’s eyes. As humans we sometimes see through worldly eyes, but if we seek to see others as Jesus would see them then we would see true beauty in everything. Matthew 19:26 “Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible’” (NIV).STEP 2Have your answers to any of the last questions changed after reading article 2?No they have not, I still believe all these to be true because of my belief in God. I enjoyedreading the article and it only strengthened what I already believed to be true.
