54). This is demonstrated as she uses her power and authority to introduce new technology and her expectations that it be adopted and utilized, while also allowing autonomy in how the staff members wish to use it in our teaching plans. This is effective as staff is pressured just enough to know that we are expected to utilize it but we have the freedom and independence to use it as we deem necessary. Leadership Skills Two examples of leadership skills that P.R. possesses would include her ability to be people oriented and supportive, and her ability to solve problems. These skills aid in her ability to be an effective nurse educator, as well as, a very effective nurse leader. She recognizes and accommodates her staff by taking a humanistic approach and develops “teamwork, collaboration, group decision making, trust, and cohesion” in the work environment (Education Portal, 2014, para. 5).
