Uriarte 3 Law is “A divorced wife loses custody of all children over 6 years of age or when they exceed it” (“Sharia Law — Lists of Key Rules — What Is Sharia Law?") which means if the divorced women’s children are six years old and over she will lose custody to the Husband automatically. Women under Sharia Law are considered half of what Men are according to the law because it says, “ A woman's testimony in court, allowed in property cases, carries ½ the weight of a man's” (“Sharia Law — Lists of Key Rules — What Is Sharia Law?") this means a women's testimony in court is half of what a Man’s testimony is in court. If a woman under Sharia Law gets raped she cannot testify against her rapists unless she has four male witnesses, this shows that women are seen less superior then men. Sharia Law would affect the Marriage Laws in the United States because under Sharia law women are seen as less superior than men because there is one law that says, “A man can unilaterally divorce his wife; a wife needs her husband's consent to divorce” (“Sharia Law — Lists of Key Rules — What Is Sharia Law?")
