------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Scene 2 (Anderson) [smooth dialogue transition from scene 1) Soldier: (writing the letter and reading it out loud, fades in) ... my last letter, my orders … (etc) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Scene 3 R: (whispering) Yo you really need to shut up you know what kind of trouble this could get us into right? Any sign of rebel affiliation is jail time.

J: Calm down you wuss. It’s just a letter. I want to hear, you know who wrote this don’t you? L: Who? J: Alexander! The guy that tried to kill Sir Williams… And Failed...And Died R: Who the hell cares I rather not be caught reading out some sort of rebel manifesto. J: It’s a letter idiot and besides this guy doesn’t seem so bad anyways. R: Not so bad? (almost yelling) I’d remind you these are the people who made their prisoners live in the snow with nothing but a few rags for insolation. Burned down hospitals, bombed civilian houses? Ring any bells. J: Oh don’t be so naive they were fighting for a cause just like we were. And who knows if what this guy says is true I’d say they had a right to be mad. L: (quietly) Besides we probably did the same terrible things to them during the revolution. R: You too? I swear you guys are ridiculous. Fine get locked up if you want but if they ask I told you to stop. A brief silence follows J: Well go on. L continues reading ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Scene 4 Alexandre sits on the ground writing and reading what he’s writing out loud. L cuts in the and begins reading from “ No one should have to live in the dirt having every…” They alternate for a while. Before coming to the end where after Alexandre reads “But despite my cowardly life’s a cause worth fighting for. I pray you won’t forget me.” They both simultaneously read “Long live Humanity”. L then finishes saying Alexander. Then the three friends walk off stage. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Scene Five A man walks in the door. Man: Xander (Pause) time to go your division’s waiting for you. Alexander slowly seals the letter. He sit for a second before standing up. He walks over to the man. Alexander: You’ll send this to Amina won’t you? Man: Yes of course (a look of sorriness comes onto his face) Alexandre passes the man and walk to the door. He pauses at the door frame and looks down.
