TQM will have to become part of Wengart's culture. The CEO must believe in work principles that include improved leadership, working conditions, and job security. (Brown, 2011, pg. 365) Larsen had no chose but to implement TQM. Even after implementing TQM, Larsen felt he had no time to be a part of it and clearly lacked communication with the other Top Leaders. Greenberg (2013) defines communication as “the process by which a person, group, or organization transmits some type of information to another party“(pg. 238). Larsen did not want anything to do with TQM. Larsen cared more about improving profits rather than TQM or communication. Luckily, the employees took TQM to heart when Mary Romero and Allan Yoshida integrated TQM. Recommendations to the Wengart Aircraft cooperation include the basic leadership principles. Lead by example. Daniel Palmer (2009) stated, “Leadership, at its core, essentially involves influencing others to act in light of a vision of how best to achieve a shared mission”
(pg. 527). The leadership of Wengart should take this to heart and consider the changes that need to be made. The Wengart leadership should involve Management by Objective (MBO).
