Assessment 1: Report - Information Systems in Business Settings Report Marking Criteria Students will be required to select a real-world business/organisation, and will be assessed on the ability to: Analyse the selected business/organisation using the "work system framework" developed by Steven Alter, focussing on defining and examining the following components: oCustomers oProducts and services oWork practices oParticipants oInformation oTechnologies Identify and describe the business/organisation environment and the major factors that influence it, as per the information and theory presented in lectures; and Produce and submit, via Moodle, an essay that addresses the above components Length 1500-2000 words Weighting 10% Assessment Due 19 Aug 2019 (Monday in Session Week 4) Final submission time: 11:59pm Type of Collaboration Individual assessment Style and format This is an individual report and students are required to conform to the style and format requirements provided in the briefing document (and listed above). Length 60 minutes (30 multiple choice questions) Weighting 15% Assessment Due 09 Sep 2019 (In lecture in Session Week 7) Type of Collaboration Individual assessment Style and format 30 multiple choice questions on subjects covered in the lectures and readings for Weeks 1 to 6. There will be 5 questions from each week. All questions are of equal value, each worth 0.5 marks for a total of 15 marks. Assessment submission The Mid-Session Quiz will be conducted in the Week 7lecture time slot. Assessment return Mid-Session marks will be returned to students via SOLS.
