extension or have any other problems with Proctorio, their 24x7 phone number is 1-866-948-9087. Late work: Except for the first “Syllabus Scavenger Hunt” assignment (which is due on June 24) mos online assignments and quizzes are due by midnight Sunday of the week they are assigned. Because I post the correct answers to the online homework after it is due, I do not give credit for late assignments . You are responsible for reading the assignment deadlines and for managing your time effectively so that you are able to submit the assignments on time. Course Format: We will cover 2-3 textbook chapters each week. The chapter assignments and due dates are provided in the Assignment Schedule link within the Course Materials area of the course web site. I suggest printing out the entire assignment schedule for reference purposes . Links to assignments, quizzes and exams are located within the chapter module areas on the course web site. The order in which you should complete the assignments for each chapter is as follows: Read about the topics in the textbook that are referenced in the chapter notes Study the chapter notes, flash cards and PowerPoints for that chapter Answer the review questions (located at the end of the chapter notes for each chapter) Refer to the “Assignment Schedule” to do the graded assignments for that week Grades: Students will be able to track their grades on the course Web site. To view your grades, select the Grades link on the left side of the Canvas web site. Student Expectations: To successfully complete this course, students are expected to: Log onto the course Web site at least twice a week to (1) read the weekly announcement and review that week’s assignments and (2) submit online assignments, quizzes and exams Read and understand the textbook topics referenced in the chapter notes Study the chapter notes, flashcards and PowerPoint slides for each chapter Answer the review questions and use them to study for the quizzes and exams Submit all of the graded assignments on time Email me for assistance whenever necessary

Opening course PDF files: Some of the files in the Course Materials area are PDF files. Your computer will need to have the Adobe PDF reader installed in order to open and view these files. A link to a web site that allows you to download and install the free PDF reader is located in the course materials area. It is: - reader.html. Instructor Initiated Drops: I will drop students who do not submit the Syllabus Scavenger Hunt assignment by June 24. Also, any student who is failing the class because they are missing five or more graded assessments (assignments, quizzes, and/or exams) may be dropped from the class. If you wish to drop the course it is your responsibility to do so by the drop deadline. Academic Dishonesty: "The College considers cheating a voluntary act for which there may be reasons, but for which there is no acceptable excuse.” The term “cheating” includes: Either "working together" or copying another student's answers. In such cases, both students will receive zero points for the assignment.
