"False memory has been one of the most extensively studied topics in psychology"(Rosser-Major,2017).According to the False Memory Syndrome Foundation (2017), "Some of our memories are true, someare a mixture of fact and fantasy, and some are false--whether those memories seem to be continuousor seem to be recalled after a time of being forgotten or not thought about"(para.1). I do not believethat anyone is immune to false memory. Everyone's memory is full of errors. Our perception of thingsand the world is imperfect. According to from the reading and research that I have acquired our brainsonly remember a piece of what we have experienced. In conclusion, when it comes down to real life situations and how they represent the memories, I wouldhave to say that episodic memory deals with the most dramatic events in a person's life. If someonemight ask about another non-important event, they might remember. However, long-term memory isbright and vivid. Long-term memory is a declarative memory for everyone. Meaning an event orsituation can be recalled verbdom. Semantic memories are remembering the alphabet and knowledgethat someone has required all their lives., and it is associated with the experience.
