Reputational: Service to the Customer Servant Leadership Walmart’s core competencies are the capabilities that the organization stresses on when it comes to its performance, particularly when working towards its vision. The company has turned the core competencies into a competitive advantage. These core competencies include 1) Organizational culture. employees of Walmart are always hardworking and are mostly process oriented (Ahmadi, Dileepan & Wheatley, 2016). 2) Distribution. The organization operates at a global level, over a network which supports the distribution of products, saving on time spent.

WALMART 4 This is hard for the competitors to imitate. 3) International growth. Global operations of Walmart have a greater room for growth. Walmart comprises if three distinctive capabilities which has remained difficult for other organizations to cope up with. These are efficient procurement and distribution. The major emphasis of Walmart has always remined reduction of the costs. This is due to their capabilities of the company to obtain goods directly from manufactures (Ahmadi, Dileepan & Wheatley, 2016). The second capability is efficient logistic management. The company has efficient infrastructure, with a well-connected transport system. the third capability is efficient inventory management which ensures that the stocks are always present. This has been supported by heavy investment in IT. Two Segments With The Highest Influence To Walmart Organization And Its Industry Demographic segment These are observable features and genetics of any given population. These includes the growth level, sex, age race and ethnicity among others. The fact that Walmart operates at a global level, therefore demographic segment need to be analyzed globally. Walmart utilizes its wealth of inventory and sales to segment based on the segment. This allows the organization to market specific aspects like age and ethnicity (Chowdhury, 2016). The classification allows the organization understand its customers well, hence offering them the best services ever. The company also understands the best products to minimize the costs on. WALMART 5 Sociocultural factors tends to impacts the lifestyle, beliefs and values of the society where the business is situated. For instance, the high number of women customers compared to the men, the high number of temporary workers in organization and a high concern on the healthy environment and lifestyle. If Walmart does not carefully analyze the products they are selling, then the organization could end up failing on the issues of customers satisfaction. This can be a way to the downfall of the organization. Continued growth of the suburban communities is the major cultural trend in Walmart (Chowdhury, 2016). People residing in these regions have a high chance of limiting its expansion. Sociocultural segments is greatly influential when it comes to expansion of businesses.
