4B) Solving Issues through Marketing Research As the marketing researcher, we could conduct qualitative research to get more information on how to solve the main issues for Hyundai. We would conduct a few methods such as survey, interview, focus group and case study research method. First of all, focusing on a specific group of people is one of the research method. This focus group consists of a small cluster of people that fit the profile of Hyundai target market. Within these focus groups, we can facilitate a discussion around your product or service, taking full advantage of the depth that interviews afford. Focus group insights can prove invaluable in which it humanizes the Hyundai business proposition and enable to understand how people feel about Hyundai SUV product and identify potential trends and opportunities through discussion alone. For instance, when Hyundai about to launch their SUV product, target audience would be families consist of 6 members and adults that loves to drive big car around Besides that, case study research is one of our method to get more information as it is one of the simplest ways of conducting research as it involves a deep dive and thorough understanding of the data collection methods and inferring the data. This research method is based on an in-depth investigation of a single individual, group or event to explore the causes of underlying principles. For instance, Hyundai might choose to give SUV product and services idea to a prominent individual or professional within industry and allow them to test it over a period of time. It’s this type of insight which can be priceless in solving teething problems with Hyundai SUV concept and it might also uncover the potential for meeting needs that consumers are desperately looking for within the industry. In addition to that another method is survey, Survey research designs are procedures in quantitative research in which investigators administer a survey to a sample or to the entire population of people to describe the attitudes, opinions, behaviors, or characteristics of the population . Based on the case study Hyundai can collect unbiased survey data and figure out which model of car they should produced in order to capture the target market in India . Not only that they will also managed to find what type of vehicles or model that needs to be produced based on the result of the survey. This will mitigate the risk of them from getting low sales in the market and will instead assist them increase their sales. Hyundai will also be 6

able to utilize the feedback collected from the survey to further improve their branding in order to achieve their target to be the market leader. Last but not least is interview, an interview is a conversation for gathering information. A research interview involves an interviewer, who coordinates the process of the conversation and asks questions, and an interviewee, who responds to those questions. Interviews can be conducted face-to-face or over the telephone.
