He continues on by using pathos “slave owner” “ killer of Indians” “resulted in the deaths of 4,000 of 16,000 cherokess who were kicked” these words make us feel sympathy for people like Andrew Jackson who are praised and people who don’t get the recognition being there shadow casted upon saying they are higher than people who don’t have evidence for being great. Instead he proposes an idea by using ethos he creates credibility by creating an example with an alternative like “John Ross a cherokee chief who resisted the dispossession of his people and whose wife died on the trail of tears” this show evidence and creates credibility for the reader of the good things the hero did. By doing this he sets credibility and trust on how they are heroes compared to the people we view as heroes that have no actual evidence for why there praised by society.
