There are several questions to be asked of all groups, but primarily Anita Davenport. I
feel it is first important to know details of the current system. These questions come in two
different forms, both open-ended and closed-ended questions. Open ended questions derive
responses that are less structured and gain information that is geared to the interviewee’s
opinions, attitudes, or suggestions. Now, closed-ended questions are looking for more specific
responses, and require facts to be verified. Here are a few examples of each to ask of Anita
Davenport:
Open-ended
-
How do users feel about the current systems?
-
How are specific tasks performed currently?
-
Why are tasks performed in that manner?
-
What do you feel could be implemented to improve said processes?
Closed-ended
-
How many workstations are in each given section?
-
Who reviews reports before being sent out?
-
How many hours of training do individuals in given sections receive?
-
On a scale of 1 – 10, how do you feel the current systems are running?
