make money, but it will never be able to compete with the other big box retailers. After the online store is created the business will then need to optimize their inventory across a cloud-based inventory management system. This cloud-based computing will ensure that the business does not oversell their products and allow for faster replenishment of products that are selling out. Using cloud-based computing will give the business owner the ability to not only see what is selling across all platforms but they will be able to do so whether or not they are in the office. Going with the latter will allow for a streamlined approach. They will also need some sort of cloud-based system design that pulls the information from their brick and mortar sales and their online sales to one location to ensure that inventory and revenue are accurate. By doing so the owner will avoid running into back order and out of stock issues. Finally, to fully optimize their sales the company should consider a storefront that allows for mobile based ecommerce. Competitors and Technology Technology One Intelligent System One of this business’ competitors is Kohl’s. Kohl’s has a strong online presence in the market already and uses this to its advantage. When shopping on Kohl’s website you’ll notice that products that are available have multiple options for purchase. By doing this they are giving their customers different ways to obtain the products. This is done using an intelligent inventory system that tracks where the products are available, either online or in a brick and mortar location. Not only are they giving their customers options how to obtain their items they are ensuring the product is available before the customer finalizes their transaction. Technology Two Wireless , Mobile Computing and Mobile Commerce Amazon uses mobile shopping to great success. Not only do they have a strong mobile website that is easy to use, they also have mobile applications that allow for easy online shopping. This is back even further when over a third of all retail ecommerce purchases are being made from a smartphone or tablet. (Mobile 2017) Within the app you can access their entire

The ease at which the app runs will continue to bring their customers back. Technology Benefit By having a strong ecommerce presence with mobile solutions Kohl’s is making sales even when people are not in their stores. Each purchase made in their mobile setting furthers the possibly to have their mobile storefronts expand beyond what their brick and mortar stores can offer. If the company adopts this technology, they can push their revenue even further. They won’t be limited by foot traffic but instead be making money based on the swipe of a finger.
