On the customer position, it helps people stick and save their money then get the lower profits per years. On the banking position, they take the customer s money (not at all) to invest the project and get the higher profits then take the customer money back and get them a little profit. 1.4 Explain the vision, mission, core values, goals and objectives: All organizations often require a meaningful strategic plan for their mission, vision, goal and objectives. The process of developing these can be shown how the companies achieve their purposes. The vision statements of an organization are seen like a dream of the owner. In Vietinbank, their dream is to be most modern, versatile and highly effective bank in the region. The mission statements often set out the specific role in long-term plan. According to The Annual Report of Vietinbank (2017), they want to the TOP 1 of Banking system in Vietnam and inform the international standard. However, goals of organization usually apply to short-term plan but they are still non-specific and not quantified. Base on the belief, value and attitude, core values define the organization according to the principles and values that the leader will follow in implementing the activities of the organization. Objectives are generally specific goals that what the firms actually want to achieve over a period time. Especially, the objectives must be SMART to reach the maximum of the effective. For example, it can be seen in one of many objectives which Vietinbank achieved in 2017 “Total assets in 2017 increased by 15.4% compared to that 2016 and reached VND 1,100 trillion” (The Annual Report, 2017): Specific: increase the total asset Measureable: reach VND 1,100 trillion Attainable: Achieved and beyond the expectation 1%

Result-orientated: Banking activities Time-bounded: 1 year 1.5 The performance of Vietinbank in 2017 According to The Annual Report of Vietinbank page 26 (2017), the total asset of Vietinbank increased to 1,095,061 billion VND, more than the total asset in 2016 15.4% and this number is beyond their plan 1%. Whereas, VietinBank had been active in fund mobilizing activities, takingadvantages of abundant capital sources in both Vietnam Dong and foreign currencies at areasonable cost. Total funding as at December 31, 2017 was over VND 1,000 trillion, representinga 16.4% increase compared to that of 2016, reaching 102% of the plan at GMS.
